Built in 1837, our home is one of the first Greek Revival style homes built in Wells and was known as the "Wilson Place". Located just off Route 1 on the road to Wells Harbor, our guests can enjoy a pleasant walk along the salt marsh to the harbor and park. Free concerts are held every Saturday evening from June to September at the Gazebo. Bring along your rod and enjoy fishing off the pier or just relax and enjoy the sights and sounds of the Harbor. Storage area is available onsite for your bikes, boats, and kayaks. The inn is within walking distance of antique shops, miniature golf, casual and fine dining. We are on the Wells trolley line which allows you to connect to the Ogunquit & Kennebunkport trolleys.
We have enjoyed all that the southern Maine coastal region has to offer for more than 40 years. We offer the "good morning" greeting and the "good night" wish that can only be found at a country inn. Come let us spoil you with old-fashioned hospitality, a full country breakfast, and large spacious rooms. Children are always welcome! We want to be your country home away from home where you will arrive as a guest and leave as a friend. Whether you choose to spend the day shopping at Dock Square in Kennebunkport or Perkins Cove in Ogunquit, deep sea fishing, mountain biking, visiting the Wells Reserve at Laudholm Farms, golfing, outlet shopping in Kittery or Freeport, visiting the Wild Animal Farm, or relaxing and swimming on the seven miles of white, sandy beaches- you are just minutes away from all the sight-seeing, shopping, and entertainment adventures our area has to offer. And best of all, you'll take pleasure knowing the quiet of our Inn awaits you each evening-- shh, wanna share a secret?
